Ever wonder how comics get made? Here’s one example: Reed Gunther Behind the Scenes (with added THRILLS!)

I’d say this is pretty accurate!

Check out their comic here: http://reedgunther.com/

vincebaylessillustration asked: Hey Katie. On the new episode the Guys with Pencils mentioned getting a print copy of Shrub Monkeys at TCAF. Is there a way for the rest of us to order it?

Heya, thanks for asking! We’re in the process of getting more books printed (we almost sold out at TCAF and family members put dibs on the leftovers). We’ll be opening up pre-orders shortly on our new website’s store (shanahanigans.com)  with some small extra bonus goody options. I’m planning on having books ready to be shipped out mid-to-late June. I’l be sure to post about it here when we get everything finalized!

The strategy is to have a practice, and what it means to have a practice is to regularly and reliably do the work in a habitual way.

[…]

The notion that I do my work here, now, like this, even when I do not feel like it, and especially when I do not feel like it, is very important. Because lots and lots of people are creative when they feel like it, but you are only going to become a professional if you do it when you don’t feel like it. And that emotional waiver is why this is your work and not your hobby.
